Former Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is to be freed from prison by a parole board this morning. Olmert is expected to be released on Sunday. He was arrested and jailed for 27 months in connection with corruption.
He is the first former Israeli head of government to be sent to prison for corruption.
Olmert was taken to hospital after complaining of chest pain last week.
He was sentenced for corruption in connection with a property development when he was mayor of Jerusalem.
