Vijay Mallya, a businessman who has borrowed Rs 9,000 crore from various banks in India, did not return it
He is currently in England, with cases being pending in various court cases in India.
The Indian federal government asked the UK government to send him back to India. Accordingly, the Scottish police arrested him a few months before.
Then he was released on bail. A case has been filed on him by the Indian government at London’s Westminster Magistrates Court.
The final trial of the case continues until 14th Dec from 05th Dec. Vijay Mallya appeared in the court today for the trial in the presence of Chief Magistrate Emma Lewis.
Vijay Mallya told the judges that he had not escaped from India and being in London since 1992.
A few hours later Vijay Mallya came out of the court and said, “I’m saying it again. The accusation against me is false. The case is baseless. Nothing else to say.”
On behalf of the Central Government, the UK Government Case Service appeared before the court. Deportation fame Mark argued on behalf of India.

In a major setback for Swami Nithyananda, a forensic lab test has confirmed the presence of the self-styled godman in a sex video.
In 2010, a sex video had surfaced which allegedly showed the godman in a compromising position with a Tamil actress.
Now, the Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi, has confirmed that that tape was genuine and it was the godman who featured in the sex video.
Apart from the sex video, Nithyananda has been accused in cases of sexual exploitation and rape.
